LAS VEGAS AREA FORECLOSURE LISTINGS

The Las Vegas market has been holding in a narrow range for over eight months and is showing signs of stability. Resale home inventory levels are declining and the December 2009 resale inventory of over 10,200 homes is less than a three month inventory at recent sales levels. Monthly closings are gaining strength and at near record levels. The chart below shows 2009 stats, (in red), 2008 stats, (in blue), and 2007 stats, (in green). 

The median home price for Las Vegas area home for the past three years. The median price for a resale home in December was $120,000 and has been between $125,000 and $120,000 for the last eight months. The chart below shows 2009 stats, (in red), 2008 stats, (in blue), and 2007 stats, (in green).
